Hello
Welcome to Kristy Treats! My name is Kristina Guerrero, and this is my official website. I am a small business owner baking from my home, specializing in cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats for all occasions including graduations, parties, weddings, baby showers, and holidays.
I graduated from Valencia College in Downtown Orlando in 2021 with a Baking and Pastry certificate and in 2024, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time entrepreneur. During my college years, I discovered my passion for cake decorating in one of my courses, sparking my desire to become a cake decorator. Self-taught in this art, I've always had an artistic flair for creating delicious treats.
I am dedicated to pouring all my passion into my small business and sharing my delectable treats with everyone.
My Story
My name is Kristy. My whole life, I always wanted to be a pastry chef and studied at Valencia College in 2018 in the pastry and baking program. It was an accelerated program despite seeking out supports, I struggled because I was an undiagnosed autistic. Despite studying in the field I wanted to be in, I was unable to find the love and passion that I first had beginning my freshman year. Then the pandemic hit in 2020, where I discovered my passion for cakes and cake decorating. I had taken a course before everything went into lockdown. I discovered my passion for cake decorating. I was always an artist growing up and loved to paint flowers and nature, and always struggled trying to integrate my love for art into my pastries.
In the fall of 2020, I posted a photo of one of the entremets I had done for class on Facebook, and my pastor from my church contacted me to bring my treats over for the gathering we have every Monday. At first, I didn’t know what to bring, until my mom had the amazing idea to make cupcakes. Cupcakes were quick and easy, and I found my passion in baking and decorating them. In 2021, I decided I needed to find a “real” job and put my passion aside, but after getting rejected, let go, and fired, it had taken a toll on my mental health, and this is where I hit rock bottom.
In 2022, I discovered I was diagnosed with autism, and the realization had both healed and hurt me. I struggled to find a job and maintain one, and no matter how hard I tried to keep up with the demands of working in a large-scale bakery chain and be the perfect employee, I was unable to, and in 2023 I decided to take a long sabbatical from working.
In 2024, after almost a year of unemployment, I decided to return to baking. My mom was looking for programs and resources for me and came across a wonderful person, Arlene Rhodenbeck. The founder of Home of Bright Choices. Is a Parent Driven Organization that helps people with developmental and cognitive disabilities should have rights as everyone else, and we should be able to live independently and integrate with a society of people with disabilities and people without disabilities.

Home of Bright Choices offers different kinds of activities from zoom cooking classes, art and painting and my favorite one was the Valencia cooking classes where I revisited my favorite chefs and some not.
Arlene helped sponsor my baking business and introduced me to the web designers; Parker and Ericka Glick for helping me with the opportunity of advancing my baking business!
